Hike and Bike is back

WELCOME!
On May 29th, I will be participating in the 12th annual Hike & Bike in support of Hospice Georgian Triangle - a cause that is very near and dear to my heart.
Hospice Georgian Triangle was founded in 1987 and evolved to provide compassionate care in the home and at Campbell House for individuals and families dealing with life-limiting illness, living in the communities of The Town of Blue Mountains, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and Clearview Township.
Care programs come at no cost and focus on the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of both the patient and family, enhancing quality of life. Hospice Georgian Triangle relies on the support of grants and donations for more than 50% of funding for their end-of-life care and grief counselling.
It has been a particularly difficult last two years for those of us working in health care and we celebrate the first in person Hike and Bike since the start of the pandemic.
This morning as I got up at 5:30 I was faced with a rapid swab test at home to determine if I could go in to work. We all have to check that we are negative. Policy and restrictions change hourly: precautions and safety measures for staff and families are paramount. This variant has us all on edge.
I want to acknowledge my hard-working co-workers and volunteers. They are a joy to be with and I love them all. A shout out to all of the RNs, RPNs and PSWs working to take care of people.
Please support me in the year’s Hike & Bike. I will participate to raise funds and awareness for Hospice. Join me by sponsoring or joining my team!
Together we can make a difference in many lives.
