WELCOME!
On May 29th, I may or may not be participating in the 12th annual Hike & Bike in support of Hospice Georgian Triangle. This is a cause I strongly believe helps make our community stronger. But here's the rub. Daughter #3 is expecting at the same time and you can well imagine — that happy and wondrous event takes precedence.
Each year Hospice Georgian Triangle helps hundreds of families dealing with life limiting illness. Last year our family lost their mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and my lovely wife Gwen to cancer. We have been helped through this trying time by Hospice, particularly Trish Rawn and Taylor McIntosh.
So, I am pledging to hike 100 miles over April and May for Hospice. I'm currently at 20 miles. I better get shuffling.
Please help a good organization. Hospice Georgian Triangle was founded in 1987 and evolved to provide compassionate care in the home and at Campbell House for individuals and families dealing with life-limiting illness, living in the communities of The Town of Blue Mountains, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and Clearview Township.
Care programs come at no cost and focus on the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of both the patient and family, enhancing quality of life.Hospice Georgian Triangle relies on the support of grants and donations for more than 50% of funding for their end-of-life care and grief counseling.
Thanks for your support.
