On Sunday May 28th I participating in the Annual Hike & Bike in support of Hospice Georgian Triangle - a cause that is near and dear to our team members. 

This year I will be walking in memory of my Mother in Law Diane.  Diane passed away in Hospice in April of this year and I could not be more grateful for the care and compassion of everyone involved with this direly important service.  Every aspect of the experience made Diane and her family feel cared for, safe and loved.  Hospice was like a warm blanket on a very stormy night.  

Hospice Georgian Triangle was founded in 1987 and evolved to provide compassionate hospice palliative care at Campbell House and in the community for individuals and families dealing with life-limiting illness, living in The Town of the Blue Mountains, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, and Clearview Township.  

Care programs come at no cost to the users and focus on the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of both the patient and family, enhancing quality of life. Hospice Georgian Triangle relies on the support of grants and donations for more than 50% of funding for their end-of-life care and grief counseling.

• provide for the 10 beds at Campbell House for end-of-life hospice palliative and respite care
• support the pain and symptom management clinic providing relief to patients
• relieve caregivers by providing short-term respite stays at Campbell House
• provide grief and bereavement counselling at no cost to anyone in need
